I had made some new soup to eat. Its like a French onion soup and I offer this recipe for the monks in brown.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Onion
2 cloves of garlic
3-4 small potatoes
2 carrots or more if you like
Black pepper to taste
Tablespoon of honey
Olive oil and soya sauce
Handful of Pearl barley
Soup bowl of flour
Oregano and Basil dried herbs
Saute a medium sized onion in some olive oil - two cloves of garlic and some soya sauce. Of course you could use some lea and perrins.
I then added the water to cover it well in the pan once the onions were carmelized.
While simmering I added a few chopped potatoes - a couple of chopped carrots.
Handful of pearl barley and ground black pepper - plus a tablespoon of honey. Add more water.
During the cooking when it was thickening I added more water and made some herb dumplings to cook in the soup. I like to add more water as I am going along - to ensure that I like the consistency.
Near the end of the cooking of the soup - mashed the veg in the soup and make the herb dumplings with oregano and basil. I like a lot of herbs in my dumplings - so add what you like.
The herbs included in the dumplings were oregano and basil. Continue cooking the soup with the dumplings and when the dumplings are ready - soup is ready. Delicious.
So its a good time for a 'prophets' soup isn't it when there is so much going on in France.
I am sure that Nostradamus would approve that we are saying 'JE SUIS JUIF' in England as Jesus was a wonderful Israeli prophet that trained his true followers to be prophets and Lords.
Amazing Apostles - the harvest is plentiful and the workers are few said the Lord of the Harvest.
What else has been on the menu this week. Carrot Cake.
